Akshay Kumar revealed why he left the Bigg Boss 18 sets without shooting.
During the Bigg Boss 18 grand finale on January 19, 2025, Akshay Kumar was scheduled to promote his upcoming film, Sky Force. Later, reports suggested that the actor walked out of the sets without shooting. Well, Akshay has now set the record straight. Due to Salman’s delayed arrival, he had to leave the set without filming, as he had prior commitments. Akshay also ensured that everything is okay between him and Salman and said that he had spoken to the Bigg Boss host before making his exit.
Akshay Kumar made this statement during the press conference of his upcoming film, Sky Force, in Delhi. He shared that he had a word with Salman over a call. Kumar also revealed that Khan was stuck with a personal matter.
During the press conference, when Akshay was asked about leaving the Bigg Boss 18 set abruptly, he said, “I was running late for something. I spoke to Salman and he was stuck with something personal. He told me that he would be late by around 40 minutes. But I had to leave because I had a prior commitment.”
“Mujhe jana pada… However, we spoke about it,” Akshay added.
At the Bigg Boss 18 finale last night, Akshay Kumar was supposed to shoot with Salman Khan. However, he had test screenings for Jolly LLB 3, hence he had to leave. Akshay waited an hour for Salman to come but had to return without shooting as he was running late. Reports suggested that several calls were made to Akshay to return, but he didn’t budge.
Later on the show, Salman also talked about this. Veer Pahariya had come onstage to announce the first eviction of the grand finale (which was Eisha Singh). It was then that Salman Khan said Akshay Kumar was on set to promote his film but had to leave as he was running late. Khan also mentioned that Akshay had other work commitments. “Akki (Akshay Kumar) is also in the film. I got a little late, and he had to leave for another function, so he left.”
On Bigg Boss 18, Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner and took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.
