Pakistan, following on after being bowled out for 194 in response to the Proteas’ towering 615 runs, ended day 3 at 213 for 1 with centurion Masood (102 not out) still at the crease. Babar scored 81 as the duo posted a 205-run opening stand to blunt the hosts’ attack in their second essay.
