Saif Ali Khan has sustained six stab wounds after the attempted robbery.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has expressed his shock over Saif Ali Khan being stabbed at his residence in Mumbai on Thursday. For the unversed, an attempted robbery took place at Saif and Kareena’s Bandra house on Thursday morning. Saif Ali Khan sustained multiple stab wounds during an altercation with the thief.
Imtiaz Ali, who worked with Saif on Love Aaj Kal and with Kareena on Jab We Met, exclusively told News18, “It is shocking to hear about the incident with Saif. At this point, the first things that are coming to my mind are that his injuries are not severe and that he’s going to recover soon.”
“Thankfully he’s being taken care of at Lilavati Hospital. My heart goes out to Kareena, Saif, his children and his family. I hope that he recovers very soon,” Imtiaz told us.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is currently undergoing a procedure at Lilavati Hospital. According to Dr Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, Saif was brought to the hospital around 3:30 AM after sustaining six stab wounds, two of which were deep. One of the injuries is reportedly near his spine.
Kareena Kapoor’s team also confirmed that Saif is undergoing a procedure and assured fans that the actress and her kids are safe. The statement read, “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine.”
“We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern,” the statement read.
The police are currently searching for the suspect. At the moment, both the Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch team are at Saif Ali Khan’s residence, conducting a search using CCTV footage. While the police have detained six suspects in the case, no arrests have been made yet. Fans are concerned about Saif’s safety and wellbeing and wish him a speedy recovery.
